I'll just post a few favourite stories of mine here and some of them are quite humorous.
I'll start with the opinion page.
Alarmed By Hair Raising Prices.
I JUST don't agree with some hair saloons here in Brunei.
Why must they charge us $15 for a plain male hair cut??
Why must they charge us $15 for a plain male hair cut??
Isn't $15 quite a lot for a short male haircut?? This fee of $15 is charged only if the cutter is not a professional.
$15 is also charged if we get an intermediate cutter.
$15 is also charged if we get an intermediate cutter.
In the past, they charged just only $7. Then the price began to rise to $10 and then it kept increasing to $12 and today it is a very high $15.
How about tomorrow and the future?? Should we keep quiet if it rises to $20, $35 or even $60??
- Worried Client.
- Worried Client.
Haha. If he can't afford then go to an Indian Barber shop =.=". I'm sure its still $3 or if he's really stingy about his cash, don't cut his hair then. No one told him to go and get a $15 haircut anyways.
This one is quite funny.
This one is quite funny.
Woman Has Sex With Wrong Man.
KUALA LUMPUR - A Malaysian woman, who mistakenly had sex with a house guest, believing him to be her husband, has complained to police that she was raped, a newspaper said yesterday.
With her husband away at work, the 40 year-old housewife in Malaysia's northeastern of Terengganu went to bed early last Friday morning, after the hectic preparations for the Aidilfitri celebrations the next day.
About an hour later, she felt a man next to her and proceeded to make love to him, although she did not see his face, the New Straits Times newspaper said.
When the woman's 34-year-old husband walked into the room a short while afterward, she was surprised to see him in his work clothes, and only realized her error when he questioned her about a man he had seen walking out of the room the paper said.
Police have arrested the couple's friend, a 29-year-old labourer who has been staying with them for the past couple of months, and are investigating the case as a rape.

Man Survives 9-Storey Fall In His Underpants.
SYDNEY - An Australian man dressed only in his underpants survived a fall from his ninth-storey apartment when an apparent incident of high jinks went badly wrong, police said Tuesday.
The 35-year-old was attempting to build planks across to a neighbour's flat when he lost his footing and plummeted 30 metres to the ground, police said.
The man crashed through an iron and timber pergola which broke his fall.
"He was skylarking around, building planks across to his neighbour's place when it happened," Police spokesperson Ros Weatherall said. "He was very lucky."
Residents at the apartment complex in the Western Australian capital Perth said they heard a strange noise shortly after midnight.
One said he woke to find the police tending to the scantily-clad man in the apartment's courtyard.
"He was conscious, he was going 'Well ,well, where am I?? What Happened??' and that was about it," the resident told ABC radio.
"It was a horrendous fall because he actually came down nine storeys."
The man was taken to hospital where he is in a stable condition with cuts and a suspected broken leg.
Ouchies. The next one is quite stupid. But yeah its about kids.
Pupils Mistake Ecstasy For Sweets.
SYDNEY - Three Australian schoolchildren aged 10 and 11 were rushed to hospital after mistaking suspected ecstasy tablets for sweets, police said Tuesday.
New South Wales state police said emergency services were called in Monday afternoon when two 10-year-old boys and one girl, 11, became giddy and disorientated after eating the tablets.
Media reports said the girl was believed to have brought the tablets to her school at Wollongong, south of Sydney, then shared them with the boys at a lunch break.
Police inspector Bob Noble said there was no suggestion the children had deliberately taken ecstasy or drug dealers had targeted the pupils.
"From the information we received yesterday, from kids at the school, they thought the pills were strawberry lollies," he said.
" It could have been fatal, we've seen it before in adults so we are thankful the kids are safe.
"We are expecting to the parents and the origin of the pills is now the focus of a criminal investigation."
The children were released from hospital Monday night and were recovering with their parents.
The New South Wales government said the incident was "deeply disturbing".

HK Man Jailed For Drinking Blood.
HONG KONG - A Hong Kong man who knocked back vials of blood after a drinking binge has been jailed two months, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.
Li Man-yiu, 29, told a court on Monday he was "extremely thirsty" when he staggered into a hospital on Sept 13 for treatment for an injured toe, the South China Morning Post reported.
Surveillance cameras showed Li "walk up to the laboratory counter, take three tubes containing blood samples, drink the contents of two and then dump the vials in the lift lobby," the Post reported.
When he realized the vials had contained blood, Li rushed to the toilet to vomit, the report added.
The court accepted that Li had drunk the blood under the influence of alcohol, but jailed him after he pleaded guilty to theft, the report added.
Man my fingers are burnt from all that typing =.=" Nothing more to say. PMB!! =D so excited!!
